Void Cube
The Void Cube can be solved normally, however, there are new configurations
that do not occur on the regular cube.
The following two "parity" configurations are both solved the same way,
the slice containing the misplaced facelets is quarter-twisted and then all
four edge cubies are flipped by using Sequence
3C-E3 twice.
The second cube has the addition of a half-twist before & after.
This method is also used for the
4x4 Cube and
Magic Cube 4D.
1 | Quarter-twist the slice |
2-8 | Apply Seqence 3C-E3 to flip two edge cubies |
9 | Turn cube around |
10-16 | Apply Seqence 3C-E3 to flip two edge cubies |
The above two configurations can be switched by doing Sequence
6C-E4 to either of them as shown by the following.
The second cube is repositioned on the first move prior to the sequence
(as is the first cube after the sequence).
